More than 100 people are feared dead after an Indonesian military jet crashed in into a hotel in a residential area in the Sumatran city of Medan.
It’s the second time a plane has crashed in the area in the past 10 years.
In 2005 a Mandala Airlines flight overshot the runway, hitting several buildings and vehicles before coming to a stop on the same road, about 540 metres from the end of the Soewondo Air Force Base’s runway. There were 149 people killed in the accident, including 5 crew, 95 passengers and 49 others.
This map shows the approximate location of both crash sites.
