The volatility in Chinese stocks is continuing today, although on this occasion it’s all one-way traffic.
In early trade the benchmark Shanghai Composite is off more than 7%, mirroring similar declines on the CSI 300 and ChiNext indices.
The Shanghai Composite and CSI 300 have now fallen close to 30% having hit a multi-year high in mid-June while the ChiNext has slumped 40% in just 19 trading sessions.
