Daryush Valizadeh, a US citizen with a degree in microbiology, thinks rape should be legalised on private property, according to this essay he wrote on the topic.
The blogger — who was called "the web's most infamous misogynist" by The Daily Dot — runs the Return of Kings website, which champions what he calls neomasculinity. He is planning to come to Australia this week and hold "tribal meetings" in a number of capital cities — Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth — this Saturday.
Valizadeh, 36, told ABC he would be making a "last-minute trip" to Australia "to personally conduct a meet-up in Canberra."
Fuck it, I just booked a flight to Australia. See you somewhere there on 2/6. I'll stay a while, see some sights. pic.twitter.com/d9CTFG1nqd

In response, Australian immigration minister Peter Dutton has called an urgent briefing to have Valizadeh's visa revoked to prevent him entering the country.
Valizadeh says that if he runs into trouble entering the country, he will "just take a private boat to Darwin from Indonesia or East Timor. I'll find a way to enter. I won't be stopped."
I don't need to apply for a visa if I'm coming in by boat. The border is like Swiss cheese: https://t.co/YUCRx3C4rxhttps://t.co/emrPjqUnBS

I will sneak in to your country, hold my meetings, laugh, and then slip out. Your gay authorities won't stop me. https://t.co/kO047eXkQd

Discussing this weekend, Valizadeh said his supporters should take photos of any protesters so they could be identified and he could "tear them up."
"If accosted during the meetup, travel to the final venue in pairs or triplets using an indirect route so the final location is not compromised (make sure you are not followed)," he wrote. "While I wouldn't mind a bit of excitement, there is currently zero chatter online that a single meetup will be disrupted.
"Up to now, the enemy has been able to exert their power by isolating us and attacking with shrieking mobs, but we'll be able to neutralize that tactic by amassing in high numbers come February 6. I will exact furious retribution upon anyone who challenges you in public on that date (remember to record them). Therefore let the sixth of February be a clear signal to all that we’re not going anywhere. We have finally arrived."
The NSW Police told Business Insider that it was monitoring the situation in Sydney over the weekend.
"NSW Police are aware of a number of meetings occurring in Sydney Saturday evening (February 6) by a group called Return of Kings," it said. "Officers will monitor these areas to prevent any breaches of the peace."
An online petition to stop Valizadeh's supporters meeting in Sydney had attracted more than 42,000 signatures.
